I’ve recently had a similar conversation – talking to an Easy shop owner about expanding to their own website and blog.
I loved this. I love blogging and I’ve seen a huge change in the way my blog performs just by interacting with people. Commenting is so important and replying to those comments is also important. I started blogging to pretty much build a brand that could eventually become a business. I whole heartedly believe that this is the best way to get through to customers.
I’ve heard it a few times, “Social media is where you date your customers, your website is where you marry them.” I think blogs help with the marriage proposal. 🙂
I think it’s so necessary for small businesses to have a blog. Getting in tune with your customers is important.
